A Waterfront Sketch

An early morning skecth of a local charter boat down at the beach. Pen and ink on water color paper...thinking about adding some color to this but am a bit hesitant. Need more practice with colors so I guess I'll give it a try later this week.

Glad you liked the all over coffee site. This drawing is beautiful. I too love to work in black and white. The graphic punch can't be beat. But I have to admit that color packs more emotion. I'm trying to work more color stuff too.

I think pen and ink has a beauty all of its own without the addition of colour. This is very restful. :o)

I like it without color, too! But, you could always print your scan out onto watercolor paper and then paint it from there. Beautifully done.

Thanks everyone for your supportive comments. I will try printing this scan onto watercolor paper and then experimenting with color. That's a great idea.

This is one of my preferred. You can try to add colors, but I think it is perfect like that.
